Pee Wee Powell’s PWC Building is filled with a wide assortment of wooden items that are ready for this year’s L.A. Bikers Toyz for Kidz Auction.
The auction will be held on Thurs., Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. at the PWC building East Avenue in Atmore.
Powell, who grew up poor himself, said everything raised from the auction go toward purchasing toys for needy children in the community, and members of the L.A. Bikers will distribute those toys in December.
“I just want to do something that’ll help out,” he said.
Items for auction will include shelves, chairs, swings, gazebos, grill tables, hutches and other items.
Barbecue sandwiches and hot dogs will be served, and a $1 raffle drawing will be held for different items.
Powell said he begins constructing every wooden piece right after Christmas every year.
