4 Atmore residents arrested for drugs

Four Atmore residents were arrested last week after agents with the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force executed numerous search warrants with the help of numerous agencies in various locations in Atmore.
“Agents found and seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs including marijuana and methamphetamine and several fire arms,” Investigator Robby Williams said.
Shelton “Chubby” McKenzie, 38, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime; Richard McKenzie, 28, has been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana I, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, having outstanding felony warrants in Florida and misdemeanor warrants in Atmore; Victor McKenzie, 25, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant; and Clarence Williams, 24, has been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana I.
Williams said more arrests are forthcoming.
As of Monday morning, one additional person turned himself in, DTF Agent Scott Walden said.
Dameon Mosley has been charged with conspiracy and could have additional charges of unlawful possession of a marijuana I and possession of a controlled substance.
Also assisting in executing the search warrants were the APD, Poarch Police, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Homeland Security Investigations (HIS), Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) air unit and four K-9 units from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Thomasville Police Department, Citronelle Police Department and Conecuh County Sheriff’s Office.
