Cause of death under investigation; no names released

An Atmore man was found dead at his Nettles Street home Monday morning, according to police officials.

Atmore Police Investigator Robbie Williams said the death is still under investigation, but everything indicates that the person died of natural causes.

“It was a natural death,” Williams said. “He died in his house.”

Williams couldn’t release any names as the next of kin haven’t been notified.

“His daughter went over to check on him,” Williams said.

Williams said the call into the APD came in at around 11 a.m. on Monday.
