PMS CC finishes on top at finals

Perdido Middle School’s Cross Country team finished among the top in the county last week during the county finals.
Several students finished the year among the top 10 on an individual basis, which helped both the girls and boys teams to finish second and third, respectively.
The team is coached by Craig Canaan, with this being his 19th year as head coach.
Class 1A results for Baldwin County Cross Country finals are as follows:
• Jordan Blackmon — second place finishing time of 17 minutes, 53 seconds (2-minute improvement over the season);
• Lindsay Stewart — fourth place, 19:26 (2:48 improvement over the season);
• Alyssa Long — 13th place;
• Matthew Milstid — third place, 15:13 (5:15 improvement over the season);
• Reese White — seventh place, 16:23 (4:34 improvement over the season); and,
• Collin Davis — 11th place, 19:25 (3:05 improvement over the season).
The following students were selected for all county honors: Reese White, Matthew Milstid, Lindsay Stewart and Jordan Blackmon.
Sixth graders Natalee Presley and Jackson Reid served as managers for the season.
