Brown wins play of week honors

Escambia Academy’s Kris Brown’s 48-yard touchdown run against Pike Liberal Arts last week was voted as the best high school football play from week nine.
According to AL.com’s website, Brown won the distinction after the closest voting of the year.
Brown edged second-place finisher Remington Patterson of Vestavia Hills.
Brown received 5,821 votes, or 48.3 percent. Patterson received 5,739 votes.
Balloting began on Sunday and ended at noon on Wednesday.
