More than $15,000 was raised at the Toyz for Kidz auction Thursday at the PWC Building in Atmore, event organizers said Monday.

The auction is held each year to raise money that will go toward purchasing toys for needy children in the community. Members of the L.A. Bikers will distribute the toys in December.

Items purchased at the auction included wooden chairs, a gazebo and rocking chairs, to name a few.

The Neals went home with several items, including the gazebo, from the event.

Some 70 items were sold at the auction, Jeter said.
