There may have not been much structural damage reported as rain swept through Atmore on Monday, but several inches of the wet stuff fell in the area, officials said Tuesday.
Escambia County Emergency Management Agency Director David Adams said over the last seven days, the area just west of Atmore got between 5-6 inches of rain.
“The majority of the county falls between 2-4 inches,” Adams said. “It’s a little heavier to the west end of the county, and it gets lighter as it moves to the east.”
Adams said he only knows of a couple trees that were reported down in areas in the county.
