An Atmore man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck just across the Florida line early Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Glen Shannon Taylor, 50, of Atmore, was driving his 2005 Lexus west on State Road 97, and failed to maintain the westbound travel lane while negotiating a left curve, FHP Crash Investigator Cpl. David Karasek said.

“Mr. Taylor’s vehicle entered the north shoulder and struck a culvert which caused his vehicle to overturn,” Karasek said. “While the vehicle was overturning, Mr. Taylor was ejected from his vehicle.”

The wreck is still under investigation.
