Dear Editor,
On behalf of the L.A. Biker family, we want to thank all the people who came to our “Toyz for Kidz” auction that was held on Oct. 22. It was a great turn out and the winners were “The Kidz”. We also want to thank the many volunteers who helped with the auction, you made it fun. Because of the success of the auction, we are looking forward to making sure that many needy families will have a Merry Christmas this year.

Dear Editor,
William E. (Jim) Kirby was a veteran of World War II. He served in the 99th Infantry and the 304th Infantry Regiment. He was captured by the Germans at the Battle of the Bulge, and held from December 1944 to January 1945.
Jim received two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star; plus several others. He was proudest of his Sharpshooter Badge.
Without the help of Mike Hanks and Paul Fralick, this story would have never been told.
Jim’s legacy continues today through his eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. His children grew up respecting him for the man he was.
