Atmore woman killed in 3-vehicle wreck

An Atmore woman was killed in a three-vehicle wreck Friday evening at the intersection of Highway 29 and County Road 95A near Pensacola, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Barbra M. Ryland, 61, of Atmore, died when the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe she was riding in collided with a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country, according to the FHP.

Debra Marlene Ahearn, 52, of Cantonment, Fla., was driving her Town and Country in the southbound lane and initiated a left turn, colliding with Ryland’s vehicle that was traveling north.

As a result of the collision, a third vehicle, driven by Dontavious Rashwn Anderson, 21, also of Cantonment, collided with Ryland’s front right side after Ahearn’s vehicle rotated clockwise. Anderson was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Ahearn was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.

John Ryland, 56, the driver of the Tahoe, transported to Sacred Heart, where he is listed in critical condition.

Anderson was transported to West Florida Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

The wreck is still under investigation.
