An Atmore man has been charged with battery for allegedly beating his father in the parking lot of Academy Sports in Pensacola.
Thomas M. Nall, 30, of Atmore was arrested for aggravated battery I of a person 65 years or older, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
According to the arrest report, Nall was seen by numerous witnesses punching his father, Alvin, while he was a passenger in a white pick up truck, forcing the vehicle to drive erratically.
Additionally, Alvin began to honk his horn to get other people’s attention, the report said.
However, Nall wouldn’t quit punching his father, and the witnesses stated that Alvin got out of his vehicle, and with the help of others, pulled Nall out of the truck while turning the vehicle off.
According to the report, Alvin Nall had a cut on the right side of his face, just above his right eye.
Thomas Nall said that his father was controlling and instructed him to get the packages out and put them in the vehicle in a certain order, the report said.
Nall said his father became verbally aggressive toward him, and when asked why he punched his father, he said he had it coming.
Nall then began to talk about finances, which Alvin controls and began to speak about satanic organizations and that his family is responsible for numerous murders, the report said.
Nall was transported to the Escambia County Jail, where he was given no bond per the Florida State Statute for domestic violence.
