Thank you for allowing me to serve as your District 4 Commissioner. It has truly been an honor to serve you in this capacity, and if I am re-elected, I promise to continue to be a strong and positive voice for District 4.

I graduated from Escambia County High School in 1989, and earned an Associate Degree from Jefferson Davis Community College in 1991. During my time in office, I have completed the fifty hour certification courses required of all newly elected commissioners. Upon completing the mandatory courses, I pursued the optional advanced certification as well. I absorbed all expenses associated with the advanced certification, with no cost to the taxpayers. I completed the courses and received my diploma in 2015.

It is very important to me acquiring the knowledge needed to be an effective component of our local government. Since being elected to the commission, I have had a tremendous amount of hands-on experience. I have been involved in some of the most heated political issues in the history of Escambia County, and have always voted, in my heart, what I felt was best for the people I serve and Escambia County as a whole. As each issue arises, it has prepared me for the next and allows our district to have an experienced voice.

I believe in having a productive relationship with other members of the commission to reach a beneficial goal for the residents of our county. I also believe in having the willingness to stand against issues that I feel produce a negative impact on our district, or the west end of our county.

There are still areas in District 4 in desperate need of attention, and I am committed to seeing these projects completed, as well. I feel we are steering our county in the right direction, in regards to our infra-structure improvements. The current economy has been less than favorable towards county government, but we were able to complete several projects in District 4, and implement cost saving programs that have been proven to be beneficial to our day to day operations.

*Resurfaced Booneville Rd, North Canoe Rd, Airport Rd, Allen Rd, Booker Rd, Dugout Lane, Three Mile Rd, and Robinsonville Rd. (shared with District 5)

• $200,000 in various re-striping projects throughout the county.

• Replaced bridges on Cowpen Creek Rd and Booneville Rd.

• Implemented a herbicide spray program in 2012

• Entered a contract to clean and restore illegal dump sites.

• Approximately 9 million dollars to rebase various dirt roads throughout the county. (FEMA)

My wife Sharon and I have one daughter, Madelyn. We are active members at Robinsonville Baptist Church, and have always enjoyed supporting our community.
