Cantonment, Fla. teen arrested for arson
A Cantonment, Fla. teen was arrested for arson for the Sunday morning fire of a 5th Avenue home in Atmore.
According to the Atmore Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to a fire call at the 200 block on 5th Avenue at 3:58 a.m.
“Firefighters were quickly able to contain the blaze and extinguish the fire before it spread beyond the outer wall of the home,” Police Chief Chuck Brooks said in a press release.
Officers investigated the scene and were able to determine that debris picked up outside the home was used to start the fire.
Brooks said it was also determined that the Cantonment teen, whose name wasn’t released because of his or her age, was responsible for the arson and several incidents that previously occurred during the night.
