Man survives truck overturn in ditch

A Perdido man is counting his stars after he escaped his overturned truck in a ditch earlier this morning.
John Brown, 83, was driving his 1997 Chevrolet Silverado with a trailer.
Brown said he turned onto Woods Road from Jack Springs Road, hit the curb and overturned into the ditch.
Brown said he escaped through his driver’s side window, which was down at the time.
Atmore Police Department, Atmore Fire Department, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the Poarch Tribal Police, Atmore Ambulance and the Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
