The county CAC chapter is visiting each third-grade class in the city and county school systems in Escambia County.

“As a member of National Children’s Alliance, the Escambia County Regional Child Advocacy Center fully supports the multidisciplinary approach to responding to allegations of child abuse,” Myrick said. “We believe that our local community should become more educated about the benefits of this process, and how to recognize signs of abuse.”

The Escambia County CAC’s mission and goal is to provide resources and services to child victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse, their supportive family members and the community; to facilitate joint investigations and follow up services to victims and their families; and to empower the community for child abuse and neglect prevention.
