City awarded FAA grant
The city of Atmore was awarded a $63,000 Federal Aviation Administration grant for the municipal airport on Highway 31.
The grant is for the design of fuel farm, Atmore Mayor Jim Staff said.
“They’re going to be moving it from the underground and moving it across the runway for a self-serve fuel farm,” Staff said.
Staff said the grant is paying for the design of the farm.
