Creek Travel Plaza (CTP) in Atmore is one of the nation’s best truck stops, according to the Poarch Creek Indians’ enterprise arm of the tribe.
The CTP was ranked as the 24th best truck stop by the Trucker Path mobile app.
“We’re just beyond ecstatic,” CTP General Manager Tammy Smith said in a press release. “This is what we strive for — to make our customers happy, comfortable and safe while traveling. It is such an honor to be included among so many other well-known spots.”
Trucker Path is an app that lets users give other travelers useful information, such as parking, weigh stations and more. According to its website, the app is a trip planning companion for truck drivers, enabling a large community of drivers to help update the real-time status of places on their route.
CTP is located on Interstate 65 in Atmore. At exit 54, the truck stop allows travelers to rest, eat and gas up on the road. CTP has a full-service, sit-down diner, as well as a large convenience store, a truckers’ lounge, laundry and shower facilities, to name a few.
