A new restaurant will be housed in the Wind Creek Atmore Family Entertainment Center.

BB King’s World Famous Café is moving into the space that’s occupied by Baumhower’s Restaurant, according to a Wind Creek Hospitality press release.

Beale Street Blues Co. Inc., which owns the BB King restaurant, has already began the hiring process for the new restaurant, and WCA and the new eatery will not lose any staff member jobs during the transition, the release stated.

“This will be the first of our restaurants to focus on serving great BBQ, and will also feature regional favorite dishes seen on our other menus,” Beale Street Blues Co. President Tommy Peters said.

The café is going to utilize the brick pizza oven, and will have a separate to go area for speedy takeout service.

The restaurant’s grand opening is set to take place in August.

“We are very excited about bringing BB King’s World Famous Cafe to WCA,” WCA Property Manager Tim Ramer said. “It will bring a dining option unlike any other in the surrounding areas to our facility.”

Last December, Wind Creek Montgomery opened its doors to a newly expanded property that included BB King’s Blues Club along with two other restaurants run by the Beale Street Blues Co.
