The Atmore Police Department is looking for any information in connection with a recent robbery that occurred at the Kangaroo Station on North Main.
Chief Chuck Brooks said on Sept. 4, at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call from the Kangaroo Station in regard to a robbery.
“The clerk stated that a male, dressed in all black clothing entered the store and pointed a sliver handgun at her, and then ordered her to open the register and fill a bag with money,” Brooks said. “After handing the gunman the bag with the money, he exited the building and went to the rear of the building, where a witness stated that he got into a vehicle that then left the area with an undisclosed amount of money.”
Brooks said the subject had black clothing and a dark color bandana covering his face.
Brooks said the case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the APD at 251-368-9141.
