Some correctional officers assigned to the William C. Holman Correctional Facility outside of Atmore didn’t report for the third shift on Saturday, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Bob Horton, the ADOC public relations manager, said no reason was given as to why the officers didn’t show up to work.
“As a result, officers from other correctional facilities augmented Holman’s security staff,” Horton said. “Prison officials have not reported further incidents.”
