Soon after the Lee family of Rockaway Creek Road lost everything Monday, donations started coming in.

Logan Roundey, one of the Lee family’s neighbors, knew what it was like to lose everything and was the first on scene to give clothes to the Atmore residents.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Atmore firefighters and other first-responders were called to the residence for a house fire.

The residence’s owner, Scott Lee, and his family weren’t hurt as a result of the blaze.

“I’ve been through this before,” Roundey said. “Everybody helped us so much when we went through this.”

Roundey said he felt like he needed to give to the Lees.

“I’m glad everybody’s OK,” he said.

Because of the overwhelming response to the Lees, the family is asking for donations or gift cards, and have an account set up at First National Bank and Trust in Atmore.
