Letter to the editor for Wed., Dec. 7, 2016

Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the four candidates for the two judge positions in Escambia County, Ala., in the last election.
The candidates stuck to their records, abilities and qualifications.
Not once did I hear or see one negative comment toward their opponent.
It was a delightful change from the presidential election, where everyone was sick of hearing the lies and mud slinging.
The Escambia County candidates showed their class by staying above what has become the norm of mud slinging and innuendos.
It makes me proud. I think Escambia County and the Atmore area is at the beginning of what will be a great time in its history.
If we all show the class that the four candidates showed, we will have a great future.
Sincerely,
Walt Butler
