He was released from the BCSO jail. The release was later reported as an escape by the ADOC on Wednesday after corrections officials discovered a fraudulent court document in his file, ordering his transfer from Fountain to the Barbour County jail and subsequent release, ADOC Public Information Manager Bob Horton said.

Horton said officials indicated the fraudulent order raise questions of its authenticity when a person’s name authorizing the inmate’s transfer and release could not be validated.
