Bad weather swept its way through the Atmore area and northwest Florida, dumping inches of rain and rounds of lightning.
Escambia County Emergency Management Agency Director David Adams said the west end of the county received between 2-3 inches of rain.
“The east end was slightly higher at 3-4 inches with some areas slightly higher,” Adams said. “I had no damages reported in the Atmore area.”
Adams said there were some trees down in the Friendship and McCall communities.
The bad weather made its presence known for most of the day Saturday and early on Sunday morning.
Adams said there were no confirmed tornadoes reported in the county.
