With a host of dignitaries, including elected officials, local pastors and former Atmore residents, present for the ceremony, breakfast was served as newly elected mayor of the City of Slema – Darrio T. Melton – was on hand as the morning’s keynote speaker for Saturday’s annual Rosa Parks Prayer Breakfast at Greater Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church.

“I believe God gives us all Rosa Parks moments,” Melton told the crowd. “Where just the smallest act can change the world.”
