The Atmore City Council awarded a bid for the industrial access road in the Rivercane Development at its meeting on Feb. 13.

The bid award went to Grady Ralls & Sons Inc. out of Evergreen.

“Right now, the bid is still under what we though tit would be,” Mayor Jim Staff said. “He’s a very good contractor.”

In other business, the council approved a parade permit for the Ladies of Essence for their Mardi Gras parade to be held Sat., Feb. 25, at 1 p.m.
