Narcotics officers recover crack, powdered cocaine at home
An Atmore man was arrested last week on multiple drug charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Chief Chuck Brooks said the APD’s narcotics officers executed a search warrant on the 500 block of Fourth Ave., near an elementary school.
“During the search of the residence, several narcotics were located and confiscated,” Brooks said.
Dante Maurice Haynes, 38, of Atmore, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, narcotics sale near a school campus and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Haynes was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center without incident.

“Narcotics sales near and around school grounds will not be tolerated,” Brooks said.
