Mr. Booker T. Williams Jr., 53, a resident of Atmore, passed away on May 29, 2017, in Pensacola, Fla.

Lizzie Morrisette

Mrs. Lizzie Morrisette, 76, a resident of Mobile, passed away May 27, 2017, in Mobile.

Dennis Scott Perritt

Dennis Scott Perritt, 54, of McDavid, Fla., passed away May 19, 2017, in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born on March 7, 1963 in Milton, Fla.

He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Etheleen and Thomas Weekley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth H. Perritt of McDavid; two sons, Gregory (Danielle) Perritt of Molino, Fla. and Jason Perritt of McDavid; one daughter, Sarah Perritt of McDavid; and one grandson, Scout Perritt; two brothers, Jeff (Elaine) Perritt of Jay and Barry (Melanie) Perritt of Pace, Fla.; his father, Joe Perritt of Pace; his aunt, Carol Perritt was particularly special to him; as was a host of nieces, nephews and all of his extended family.

Scott was employed with Alabama Power Co. as a fleet technician for many years, and was well known and respected throughout the company. He leaves behind a large work family who will miss his heart of service and his quick wit.

A memorial service was held May 25, 2017. The service was held at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stephen Houser officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northview High Scott NJROTC, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Jessie L. Daniels

Jessie L. Daniels departed this life on May 15, 2017, at Mobile Infirmary surrounded by his lovely dedicated family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Dorothy Daniels; four brothers, Leo Daniels Jr., David Daniels, Samuel Johnson and Johnny Daniels; and two sisters, Amanda Johnson and Margie Ree Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Nancy Daniels of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Dorothy Daniels and Lashundra Daniels, both of Washington; three sons, Alfonzo Daniels of Bay Minette, Fredrick Richardson of Dallas, Texas and Eric Julian of Montgomery; seven grandchildren, Jabriah Daniels, Jada Daniels, Kamare Daniels, Damon Wallace, Jakobe Price, Chloe Daniels and Morgan Daniels, all of Washington; three sisters, Margie Thames, Daisy (Willie) Lee and Ella Adam, all of Bay Minette; two devoted aunts, Georgia Mims and Helen Mims, both of Bay Minette; three devoted nephews, Marion Daniels of New Jersey, Farrel Gandy of Alaska and Rayvonne Daniels of Bay Minette; three devoted nieces, Veronica Brown, Tamkeka Robinson and Martha Boggan, all of Bay Minette; special friend, Darel Adam of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sat., May 27, 2017, at Union Baptist Church in Bay Minette and viewing was held from 9 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers were Quinyon Mims, Robert Daniels, Dewayne Brown, Mitchell Williams, Quentin Jenkin, Contarius Robinson, Don Robinson and Scottie Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers were Willie Lee, Rayvonne Daniels, Anthony Johnson, Marion Daniels, Sammy Johnson and Antonio Daniels.

Flower bearers were nieces.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Mayberry Funeral Home.

Lilly Miller Wells

Mrs. Lilly Miller Wells, 77, passed away on Sun., May 28, 2017, in Atmore.

She was a native of Wallace and has resided in Atmore for most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Johnny Miller and Elsie Burch; three sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Shirley Kenney of Atmore; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special great nephew, D’Angelo Riley of Bay Minette.

Graveside services were held May 30, 2017, from the Flomaton Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Macks officiating.

Visitation was held May 30 from Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Margaret Ann Mayo Bryan

Mrs. Margaret Ann Mayo Bryan, 87, passed away on Tues., May 23, 2017, in Jay, Fla.

She was a native of Century, Fla. and has resided in Poplar Dell, Fla. for the past 68 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Poplar Dell Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her son, Fred Bryan.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, W.A. Bryan of Poplar Dell; one son, Bill (Jeri) Bryan of Cabot, Ariz.; one daughter, Ann (Bill) Baker of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Claire Westmark of Pensacola, Fla.; two grandchildren, Greg Bryan and Meredith Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Chris, Haden and Caitlin.

Memorial services were held May 25, 2017 from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating.

Michael John McKenzie

Michael John McKenzie, 29, of Atmore, passed away Sun., May 21, 2017, in Atmore.

He was a warehouse worker with the Poarch Creek Indians, born in Mobile on Sept. 25, 1987, to

Troy Francis and Tammy Lynam McKenzie.

He is preceded in death by his father, Troy Francis McKenzie; a brother, William McKenzie; and a cousin, Timothy “Gooley” Hayes Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Jessica McIlwain McKenzie; his mother, Tammy (Chris Burklund)

McKenzie; grandmother, Bonnie Brown; step-father, Skeeter Crochet Sr.; children, Shawn,

Hunter, Hailey and Kailey McKenzie; brothers, Stephen (Dana) McKenzie, Nathan “Lil Shane”

Powell and Skeeter “Bug” Crochet Jr.; one sister, Ashley McKenzie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services were held May 25, 2017 from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Malcom Harrelson and Bro. Keith Lisenby officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill cemetery.

Family received friends May 24 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Randall Morris, James Smith III, Sketter Crohett, Billy Griffis, Keith Brown, Rudy Lynam, Justin McGhee and Lance Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Ward, Terall Boutwell and Jerry Smith.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.

Susie Estelle Smith Stewart

Mrs. Susie Estelle Smith Stewart, 91, of Franklin, passed away Fri., May 26, 2017, at Atmore Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Franklin Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. Smith and Iea Esteell Rutherford Smith; her husbands, Ollie Lister and John D. Stewart; her son, Leon Lister; her daughters, Christine Hadley and Lisa Barbara Lister; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Cordall Parker of Franklin; her daughters, Kathy McKenzie and husband, A.C. of Franklin, and Tina Myers and husband, Bill of Mobile; one sister, Nellie Ree Burton of Atmore; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wed., May 31, 2017, from Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Bryars McGill Cemetery in Perdido, Alabama. Visitation was held from May 30, 2017 at the funeral home.

Willie E. Johnson

Mr. Willie E. Johnson, 74, of Uriah, passed away Fri., May 19, 2017, at his home.

He was a mason, was a member of the Blacksher Lodge No. 593 in Uriah and the York Rite Monroeville Lodge No. 47. He had a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He retired from the Alabama Prison System, where he had worked as a guard, warden and southern regional coordinator.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pascal and Luverne Johnson; his brother, Rondal Johnson; and his sister, Elaine Johnson Tatum.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Nellie Faye Smith Johnson; two sons, Mike Johnson and wife, Cindy and Mitch Johnson and wife, Sharon; one daughter, Sandy Jaye; five brothers, Jerry Johnson and wife, Carol, Jimmy Ray Johnson and wife, Alberta, Pascal Johnson and wife, Kathy, Gary Johnson and Larry Johnson; two sisters, Joyce McKinley and Annette Hall and husband, Hilbert; brother-in-law James Tatum; mother-in-law Sara Smith; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Michelle (Danny) Reid, Nicholas (Rebeka) Johnson, Matt Johnson, Jon Alex Jaye, Austin Johnson and Jordan Jaye; and six great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Makenna, Macie, Pascal, Gracie and Grayson.
Funeral services were held May 22, 2017, from Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Louis Scott officiating. Burial followed in Johnson Cemetery. Visitation was held May 21 at the funeral home.
