PCI’s OWA to open July 21

Amusement park enthusiasts eager to ride OWA’s 21 rides will soon be able to do so as the park will open its doors to the public on July 21, 2017.

The Park at OWA, backed by the Poarch Creek Indians, is designed to be a family fun designation, and will offer guests a variety of unique adventures, according to a press release.

The park is located at 10113 Foley Beach Express in Foley.

“Our Tribe is excited to offer a family destination near Alabama’s beautiful beaches that will create memories this summer and for years to come,” PCI Tribal Chairman and CEO Stephanie Bryan said. “We are also proud that OWA is positively impacting families living in Foley, and the surrounding region through the job creation generated by this development.”

On opening day, guests will be able to take advantage of what the park has to offer, including 21 rides, a variety of midway games, quick service dining options and the Parkside Gift Shop, which is filled with park items. The park will open at 10 a.m. daily.

The park offers a variety of ticket options with some based on height, including:

• General admission — $34.99

• Junior admission — (42 inches and below) — $27.99

• Children 3 and under — Free

• Military admission (active)* — $27.99

• Senior admission (60+) — $27.99

• Annual pass — $89.99

Tickets will be available online at visitowa.com beginning July 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets may also be purchased onsite on opening day. Group packages and discounts will be available.

Additionally, several of the park’s retail and dining tenants will open in phases beginning early in September.

The already announced tenants include Wahlburgers, Sunglass World, Fairhope Soap Co., Alvin’s Island, Hershey’s Ice Cream Shop and Utopia, to name a few.
