The Escambia County Board of Education held its monthly meeting on Thurs., Aug. 17, 2017. The board approved the following personnel recommendations:

Resignation

• Katherine Gohagin, bus driver, Atmore Bust Shop, effective Aug. 3, 2017;

• Brandy Baggett, teacher, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective Aug. 3. 2017;

• Robin Stewart, six-hour lunchroom worker, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective Aug. 9, 2017;

• Daphne Joyner, science teacher, Escambia County Alternative School, effective Aug. 8, 2017;

• Cody Pridgen, mechanic, Brewton Bus Shop, effective Aug. 31, 2017; and,

• Alice Mosley, seven-hour lunchroom worker, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective Aug. 24, 2017
Transfer

• Stephanie Alaniz, lead nurse, Rachel Patterson Elementary School, to lead nurse, Escambia County High School, effective Aug. 4, 2017; and,

• Matthew Mize, Agriscience teacher, Flomaton High School, to Horticulture/Agriscience Instructor, Escambia Career Readiness Center, start date pending hiring of replacement teacher at Flomaton High School. (Replacing Allen Whitman)
