An Atmore man was arrested and charged with murder in connection to a Perdido man’s death on Aug. 22, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department.

Assistant Chief Deputy Anthony Lowery said Bryan Justin Still, of Atmore, was arrested some 300 yards from the scene of the crime for the alleged murder.

“We received a 911 call that a guy had gone outside and found a man shot in his yard,” Lowery said. “Deputies responded to the area, and when they got there, found Christopher Allen already deceased.”

Lowery said paramedics checked on Allen, also of Atmore, and deputies then set up a perimeter for the death investigation at the residence on Dallas Hadley Lane in Perdido.

Lowery said when deputies arrived, they found Allen with a single gun shot wound to his upper chest.

“Deputies were able to contact the suspect (Still) about 300 yards down the road, down Hoyle Briars Road,” he said. “The suspect, Justin Still, gave some information that he had had contact with Allen before (his death), but never admitted to the shooting.

“We identified some witnesses and after a while of piecing together information through interviews and evidence found, we determined that Still had shot Allen as Allen fled outside of his residence,” he said.
