An Atmore man has been arrested on sex abuse charges, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Ricky Terrell Pratt, 19, of Atmore, has been charged with enticing a child and sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old.

Lambert said the ECSO received a complaint and information about an incident that occurred on Aug. 5, 2017. He said that allegations were made that Pratt had lured a child under the age of 12 into a room for the purpose of lewd and or lascivious behavior.

“At the same time of this incident, Ricky Pratt also subjected the child to sexual abuse,” he said. “The child later disclosed information confirming the incident.”

Lambert said the case was investigated by the ECSO and assisted by the Child Advocacy Center and the Department of Human Resources.

Pratt’s bond was set at $250,000.
