Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH) announced recently that it has acquired the Aruba Renaissance Resort and Casino and the Curacao Renaissance Resort and Casino, according to reports.
The upscale resorts will continue to operate under the Renaissance brand, all team members are expected to remain in place.
The resorts are in downtown Oranjestad, the capital city of Aruba, and adjacent to the port and downtown Willemstad, the capital city of Curacao.
“We are thrilled to add these incredible properties to our Wind Creek portfolio,” Tribal Chairwoman Stephanie Bryan said on Hotel News Resource’s website. “We look forward to being part of the communities in Aruba and in Curacao. I know our guests will love being able to travel to two of the best Caribbean destinations as part of our Wind Creek Rewards program.”
The resort has two hotels with 431 rooms; numerous choices for dining; two shopping malls that include luxury retailers Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Cartier, Burberry, Rolex and Bulgari; two casinos; and the private Okeanos Spa. The adjacent 40-acre private island has exquisite beaches and is an ideal location for tropical weddings while business conferences and trade shows are at home in 22,000 square feet of event space.
The Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino is set amidst the historic Dutch Caribbean city of Willemstad. It stretches from the Otrobanda waterfront all the way to the main cruise ship terminal. Built within and around the fascinating Rif Fort – a 19th century landmark designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site – Renaissance Curaçao offers a variety of boutiques, cafés, bars and restaurants, including the open-air boulevard of Renaissance Mall. The hotel has 237 rooms and suites designed in a contemporary Caribbean flavor. Exclusive to the guests of the Renaissance Curacao is the Infinity Beach Club. It features an exceptional beach experience, infinity pool, spa cabanas, sweeping views of the Caribbean and a beachside bar & grill.
