NHS head football coach Derek Marshman said it was a good win for the seniors.

“They deserve it,” he said. “We can’t talk about quantity, but we can talk about quality. It was really important for them to go out on top.”
By halftime, the Chiefs led 28-14.

Marshman said the win is a big momentum boost for the offseason.

“Football is the only sport we play you can end on a win,” he said. “We can use that as a spring board for our program and something to build on.”
Marshman said he was sure to tell the seniors about holding on and cherishing their final memory on the field at home.

“We were able to give a lot of seniors playing time,” he said, adding that a couple had their first career start.
