A Flomaton teen died on Dec. 22 in a three-vehicle wreck at the intersection of County Road 4A and Broomes Road in Escambia County, Fla., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Daizee Brooke Angus, 19, of Flomaton, was traveling eastbound on County Road 4A, and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, Cpl. D. Kitchen said in his crash report.

Kitchen said Angus, who was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, then traveled onto the south shoulder of County Road 4A and over corrected, traveling across the roadway and onto the north shoulder. He said Angus overturned approximately four times before coming to a final rest on the roof of her car.

Kitchen said Angus was ejected from the vehicle between the third and fourth roll over, and came to rest in the westbound lane of County Road 4A.

Two other vehicles — a 2007 Mazda CX-7 driven by Halen N. Smith, 25, of Flomaton, and a 2016 Chrsyler 200 driven by Alston S. Wiggins, 19, of McDavid, Fla. — were traveling westbound and failed to see Angus in the roadway, subsequently running over Angus, the report said.

Kitchen said in his report that Angus wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and the wreck is under investigation.
