Officials said tonight that all indications point to an accidental shooting in regard to the death investigation from this afternoon near the Monroe County line in the Huxford Community.

Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said there is no foul play suspected.

Earlier today, county and state agencies began their investigation into the death that occurred in a wooded area off of Prestwood Bridge Road in the Huxord Community.

Lambert said the subject has been identified as Darren Smith, 45, of Daphne.
