Every sunset is different.

From the colors to how the sun dances off the clouds, every time the sun sets, it’s a delight to behold.

In Atmore, sunsets are quite something to behold and is just a microcosm of the city’s beauty.

Last week, a citizen wrote a letter to the editor to us. In the letter, the writer wrote about how the city’s lack of issuing business licenses for new and used car lots within the city limits. The writer’s main issues were that old dilapidated cars are a common theme on the lots, and that they dull downtown Atmore’s luster.

The writer had every right to submit the letter for publication and we had a obligation to publish said letter.

We at The Atmore Advance recognize that the city is doing a good job of maintaining its facilities and keeping the downtown area clean.

Just think about what’s been happening in the last couple of years.

The city, along with the help of other entities, has attracted Brown Precision Inc. to base one of its hubs here, several businesses have opened up downtown and a revitalization effort is in the works for Atmore.

Things are changing for the better for the city.

Like sunsets every day, the city is changing and its luster is shining bright.
