A Semmes man died in a single-vehicle crash today around noon on N. 18th Ave., just east of Atmore, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Lt. Joe Piggott said in a release that Rudolph Reginald Nettles, 62, was traveling south in a 1955 Chevrolet when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert.

“Nettles, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected fro the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene,” Piggott said in the release.

Nothing further is available at troopers continue to investigate the crash.
