In the Wed., March 7, 2018, edition of The Atmore Advance, we published an articled called “Airport grand opening is Saturday.”
We were informed this afternoon that information in the article isn’t true, and we are retracting the article.

Freddie McCall, manager of the Atmore Municipal Airport, said the event this Sat., March 10, will be held to carry on former manager Mickey Parker’s legacy.

McCall said the company that took over the airport is Aviation Specialists LLC.

“There’s nothing new,” he said. “We’re just carrying on the legacy that was started by Mickey.”
The event is open to the public.
