Weekend weather, Easter was perfect

Last weekend’s weather was perfect.
With clear blue skies and comfortable temperatures, it was an Easter weekend to remember.
Last Saturday, I had to do some work in covering a house dedication for Escambia County Habitat for Humanity. The house was in Atmore, and is the organization’s first here.
I marveled at the weather and was delighted to have spent some time outside, working.
In fact, I would spend most of the remainder of daylight outside.
Later that day, I ventured home for the holiday and worked out in the yard with mom, while my dad worked inside.
I blew leaves into piles, knowing it’s a fruitless cause because the leaves are going to fall again anyway. They’re going to be everywhere by the time you read this I bet.
I was helping my mom get started on the yard because this weekend, my younger brother is getting married.
It’s wedding week.
There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done for the rehearsal dinner at my house on Friday, but I’m anxious to get home to lend a helping hand.
Getting ready for these types of events is something I do enjoy. Even though they’re labor intensive, that sense of satisfaction at the end knowing that you contributed is the best feeling.
The next night, my brother and his soon-to-be wife will be married, and after some food and dance, the work will continue for the break down.
Yes, it’ll be a busy weekend, but I’m honored to be doing this for my brother. A brother’s love is something nobody can take from you.
Over the next couple of days, I’ll make sure my suit looks nice and pressed, my shirt is not wrinkled and my shoes are looking nice. And I know, I’ll trim the beard because it needs it anyway.
Again, I’m looking forward to this weekend so that we can celebrate my brother and his soon-to-be wife.
Have a great weekend, and here’s hoping that we have the same weather we experienced last weekend for Easter.
