Many events coming up, it will be busy

There is a plethora of events coming up in and around Atmore.
Starting tomorrow, the Leadership Atmore Class of 2018 is holding its fundraiser, Chicken on Church, at 5:30 p.m.
The fundraiser will be held on Church Street, right in front of the Church Street Incubator. Tickets are available for $20 each, and funds go toward the class’s project it has to complete.
Two days afterward, Atmore’s Rotary Club is holding its annual Benefit Clay Shoot at Bushy Creek Clays.
Teams can still sign up for the shoot, just call Allen Walston at 251-368-1414 for more information.
The clay shoot is held each year to benefit the ongoing projects the club has going forward.
Then, on Mon., April 16, First National Bank and Trust’s annual Celebrity Waiter event will be held at David’s Catfish House.
The annual dinner is held to raise funds also for local projects.
And don’t forget about the Atmore Area YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day on April 21. There will be fun activities during the day.
I write all of this to say that it’s going to be pretty busy over the next week or so, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down at all either.
Right after the hustle and bustle of April, high schools will begin their preparations for graduation and set their sites toward the summer.
The next couple of months are going to be busy, but don’t let the fast-paced time cause you to forget about those who we are benefiting.
