The Atmore Area Chamber Ambassador program has been reimagined.
Recently, the group of high school seniors met at the chamber for an orientation session.
Executive Director Emily Harp said the program has been updated to reflect the chamber’s Leadership Atmore program.
“Ultimately, the goal of the program is build on what they may have learned through other programs like YLA and by living in our community while preparing them for their next steps,” Harp said. “We want them to be ready for leadership and life when they complete the program.”
Harp said the LA program brings together adult professionals for sessions throughout the year. Each session has a different purpose or topic.
“These will range from interview skills and etiquette to financial and history,” she said. “The group will be functioning similarly to a board with ‘voting’ rights for things as well as including two sessions that will be topics of their choice.”
