Everybody has a story to tell.

Pretty soon, many stories will be written as a new school year is going to start in less than a month.

Escambia County School System and Escambia Academy’s first day of school is Aug. 8. Escambia County School District’s first day is Aug. 13.

And with the start of school, which we consider in the news business the start of another year, then comes football.

Now, local teams are in the midst of summer workouts, which include frequent trips to the weight room and film room to study for the coming season.

Every year, we at The Atmore Advance think about what we did last year, and try to make it better.

We want to tell your stories, whatever they may be. If it’s interesting and local, we’ll write about it.

Summer time is slow time as we like to say in the business. Although, a lot would argue that it’s been a busy summer so far.

There’s been plenty to write about.

That’s just one example of many event taking place here. During the week, it’s always busy.

Yeah, I’m pretty fortunate to be busy each and every day.

Because hey, we’re almost to the start of another busy season.
