More than four inches of rain fell on Atmore causing a flash flood, with water standing in several streets and, in general, making a mess that got caught up in the rain water.

After several months of waiting, Northview High School soil was judged to be safe. The school had been waiting for months to get good results from the soil tests and the school said they knew it was going to go that way. In the meantime, the county spent $17,000 to find out it was OK.
