A big ‘thanks’ to all who helped us

Giving is better than receiving.
That’s something I’ve heard throughout my entire life here on planet Earth.
Last week, I experienced the receiving part and I’m truly thankful.
Pretty soon, subscribers will be able to see our 2018 edition of our football magazine.
Putting it together has been something as last-minute photo sessions, gathering of rosters and schedules and stories the like have been prominent.
Over the last week or so, I’ve noticed that whenever the newspaper needs something for the magazine, those asked would go above and beyond to make it happen.
For example, I won’t name the school, but I asked a coach to see about getting individual head shots of the players in their uniforms. I forgot to get them during the originally-planned picture day, and this coach was a good sport about making sure I got the pictures. To him, I’m grateful and I’m sure I’ll be the but-end of a joke from here on out.
Another instance took place about a day later, when I asked a coach to take a picture of an athlete for the cover.
I waited during practice, which I was happy to do, for the picture. The coach obliged and sent the player before practice ended and I got the shot.
As I turned to leave, I muttered, “Coach, thank you.”
Thank you to those who have helped the newspaper in getting its annual football magazine to the printer.
We’re so excited about this year’s issue and we know that you’ll be grateful as well.
Again, I’m grateful to those who helped us.
We will never forget your generosity and going out of your way to make this publication happen.
