Escambia County defeated Wilcox Central 42-0 in its regular season opener in Camden tonight.

The Blue Devils were led by Lue Williams and Jordaun Patterson, who had multiple touchdowns on the night.

Head football coach Rico Jackson said the boys played and threw the ball well during the win.

Next week, ECHS visits Monroe County to start region play.
