Damon Dwight Bell

Damon Dwight Bell, 64, of Atmore, passed away at his residence on Fri., Sept. 14, 2018.

He worked at Bay Wood Products as a purchasing agent and also worked in telecommunications for many years. He was born in Atmore on Oct. 28, 1953, to the late Floyd and Annie Ruth Moye Bell.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Glenda Powell Bell of Atmore; three sons, Justin (Paulette) Bell of Pensacola, Fla., Kevin (Sheila) Bell of McCullough and Keith (Rebecca) Bell of Robertsdale; one daughter, Amanda (Eric) McBrayer of Birmingham; two brothers, Dempsey Bell and Donald Bell, both of Evergreen; one sister, Arieta Walker of Atmore; and 8-and-a-half grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wed., Sept. 19, 2018, from Johnson-

Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dempsey Bell and Bro. Donald Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be his three sons, Justin Bell, Kevin Bell, Keith Bell, and a nephew, Derek Bell

Family received friends Sept. 18, 2018, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Georgia Mae Peacock

Mrs. Georgia Mae Peacock, 86, passed away on Sat., Sept. 15, 2018, at her home in Atmore.

She was a native of Monroe County and has resided in Atmore for most of her life. She was a member of the Little Rock First Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Danel Elijah Lambeth and James Franklin Peacock; and brother, Johnny Huggins.

She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Lee (Mary) Lambeth of Brewton and George Jasper (Deborah Stacey) Lambeth of Atmore; two daughters, Nancy Mae Lambeth (Terry) Martin of Atmore and Frances Regina McMillian of Atmore; three brothers, Harold (Eloise) Peacock of Martinville, Aubrey Peacock of Little Rock and Millard (Jo) Peacock of Little Rock; two sisters, Erbie Grace Rackhard of Chickasaw and Ethel “Bonnie” Nabors of Atmore; nine grandchildren, Joseph Daniel Lambeth, Robin Lynn Lambeth, James Christopher Lambeth, Terri Martin, Wayne Lee Martin, Regina Lynn Martin, Hartwood McMillian, II, Shannon Lambeth Petty and DeAnna Jo Lambeth; 10 great-grandchildren, Shana Marie Lambeth, Elizabeth Ashley Evans, Rian Lambeth, Logan Lambeth, Addy Lynn Lambeth, Brittany Martin, Nicholas Martin, Hartwood McMillian III, Amber Boutwell and Sydney Bell; and one great-great grandchild, Tatum Harper Boutwell.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Wed., Sept.19, 2018, from the Little Rock First Assembly of God Church with Bro. J.P. Lambert and Bro. Leo Kent officiating.

Burial will follow at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sept. 18, 2018 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Martin, Nick Martin, Mac McMillian II, Rian Lambeth, Logan Lambeth, James Lambeth and Joseph Lambeth.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC is in charge of all arrangements.

Larry Dean Milliken

Mr. Larry Dean Milliken Sr., 71, passed away on Mon., Sept. 10, 2018.

He was born in Ohio and moved to Atmore in his early years.

He attended Escambia County High School and was a graduate of the class of 1965. He was a retired instrument technician with NADEP with 24 years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Miriam Nell Milliken.

Survivors include his lifelong friend and mother of his children, Lelia Ann Benner of Atmore; one son, Larry Dean (Lisa) Milliken Jr. of Atmore; one daughter, Jennifer M. (Dennis) Keller of Havervill, Mass.; one brother, Alan L. (Libby) Milliken of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Rhonda (Butch) Kinney of Prattville; two grandchildren, Hunter Dean (Hannah) Milliken and Sara Ashlyn Milliken; three great-grandchildren, Tyson D. Milliken, Levi A. Milliken and Chase L. Milliken; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends; and his special Pensacola Family.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 16, 2018, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating.

Burial followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sept.16, 2018 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Mark Milliken, Roger Milliken, Stevie Luker, Donnie Seago, Adam White and Danny White.

Annie Laura Wright

Ms. Annie Laura Wright, 66, of Brewton, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Wed., Aug. 29, 2018, at her residence.

A native of Jackson, Miss., Wright resided in Brewton for many years.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Wanda) Wright of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Delores Wright of Montgomery; eight grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

A graveside service was held on Sept. 17, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. Thaddeus Douglas officiating and Turner Funeral Chapel LLC directing.
