TS Michael to enter Gulf in 36 hours

Tropical Storm Michael is forecasted to become a hurricane in approximately 36 hours when the storm reaches the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Forecasters predict that Michael is expected to drop heavy rainfall and flash flooding over portions of western Cuba, and the northeastern Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico during the next couple of days.

Michael is forecast to effect portions of the Florida Gulf Coast that are vulnerable to storm surge.
