Northwest Escambia’s freshmen and sophomore football teams beat Brewton on Oct. 27, and will advance to this week’s Escambia River Conference championship in Poarch.

NWE won 6-0 in freshmen action, and claimed a 20-0 victory during sophomore play.

NWE will face Excel at 1 p.m. this Sat., Nov. 3, in freshmen action, and against Jay, Fla. at 2:30 p.m. in sophomore action.

Poarch’s juniors also gained a berth to the championship.

Additionally, Brewton’s seniors and juniors advanced to the championship with wins over W.S. Neal.

Seniors

• Brewton vs. Excel, 5:30 p.m.

 

Juniors

• Brewton vs. Poarch, 4 p.m.

 

Sophomores
• NWE vs. Jay, Fla., 2:30 p.m.

 

Freshmen
• NWE vs. Excel, 1 p.m.
