Aubrey Brooks Stallworth Sr.

Mr. Aubrey Brooks Stallworth Sr., a former resident of Atmore, passed away on Nov. 2, 2018, in Henderson, N.C. He was born on Dec. 27, 1936.

Public viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. this Fri., Nov. 9, 2018, from the chapel of Mayberry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. this Sat., Nov. 10,from Edward Point Baptist Church in Century, Fla. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Atmore.

Craig Sullivan Sr.

Craig Sullivan Sr. 59, of McCullough, died on Tues., Oct. 30, 2018.

He was born on June 15, 1959 in the town of New Hebron, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cary T. Sullivan; brother, James Michael Sullivan; grandson, Connor Leigh Boyd; mother in law, Inez Fordham; paternal grandparents, Royce Leon Halle and Jessie Watts Halle Walker; maternal grandparents, Beadie Thomas Sullivan and Louella Smith Sullivan.

He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Anyone who met him knew they had made a friend for life.

He is survived by his wife, Anita F. Sullivan; his mother, Anne Halle Sullivan; two sisters, Karen S. (Billy) Ellzy and Deborah (Steve) McCallum; six children and their spouses, Gary DeWayne (Dawn F.) Kelley of McCullough, Jerry Glenn Kelley (William Chad Willis) of Atmore, Tara Sullivan (Tracy D. Jeffries) of Fergus Fall, Minn., April Sullivan (James R.) Jeffries of Brumley, Mo., Brynda Sullivan Waller of Lake Ozark, Mo. and Craig (Erin) Sullivan Jr. of Lake Ozark, Mo.; Goddaughter, Sara Elizabeth McGill; and 11 grandchildren, Nicholas S. Jeffries, Ethan C. Jeffries, Nathan D. Kelley, Jaydyn N. Sullivan, Brandon H. Reynolds, Emily A. Jeffries, Colten R. Sullivan, Caitlyn A. Sullivan, Hope E. Waller, Easton B. Sullivan and Thatcher M. Barton.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 3, 2018, from the McCullough Christian Center with Bro. Cornelius Phillips serving as officiate.

Burial followed in McCullough Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were members of the Atmore Fire Department.

Visitation was held Nov. 2, 2018 from the McCullough Christian Center.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Emma Cooley

Mrs. Emma “Granny Lou” Cooley, 81, passed away on Mon., Oct. 29, 2018, at her home in Huxford.

She was a native of Fairmont, W.V., and had resided in Huxford for the past 36 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, loved her family and friends and was an avid Auburn fan. She was owner and operator of Lou’s Grocery for 32 years and a member of the Huxford Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ralph Cooley; daughter, Evelyn Lee Anna Owens; grandson, Blake Michael-Allen Turner; sister, Ruth Hamilton; and brother, Edgar Glover.

She is survived by one daughter, Michele (Allen) Turner of Huxford; one stepson, Dewayne (Beth) Cooley of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Heather Louise (Erik) Merchant of Atmore, Josh Allen (Brooke) Turner of Spanish Fort, Hayden Cooley of North Carolina and Allie Cooley of north Alabama; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special friend, Debbie Snider of Huxford; and her dog, Gracie.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 1, 2018, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Daniel and the Rev. Ray Ward officiating.

Burial followed at the Huxford Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation was held Nov.1 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were D.J. Victor, Erik Merchant, Josh Turner, Jeremy McGhee, Mike Jay and Ronnie Jay.
